Banaras Hindu University is a public central university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, BHU is one of the largest residential universities in Asia, with over 20,000 students.
Applications are invited for the following temporary posts (on contractual basis) under DST Sponsored Project entitled, DST-PURSE Program sanctioned for 4 Years (tentatively up to July, 2019)
Position 1
- Job Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Department: Institute of Science
- No. Of Posts: 10
- Qualification: NET with M.Sc. with 55% marks (Chemistry, Zoology, Botany , Biochemistry, Biotechnology/Molecular & Human Genetics/Center for Genetic disorder.)
- Desirable Qualification: Research Experience by Research publications in Index ISI Journals.
- Emoluments: 23200
- Tenure: Appointment will be initially for six months but can be renewed.
Position 2
- Job Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
- Department: Faculty of Medicine
- No. Of Posts: 2
- Qualification: Masters degree (at least 55% marks) in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/Molecular & Human Genetics/Zoology or related subjects.
- Desirable Qualification: Research Experience by Research publications in Index ISI Journals.
- Emoluments: 23200
- Tenure: Appointment will be initially for six months but can be renewed.
- Age: The upper age limit is 32 Years for SRF which is relaxable up to 5 years for Female and SC/ST candidates. Reservation will be applicable as per GOI rules.
