The Defence Institute of Biodefence Technologies (DIBT) is a specialized Research Centre under DRDO, Ministry of Defence. As part of the Internship Scheme introduced by the Government of India, DIBT, Mysuru invites applications for its Paid Internship Scheme (06 Months) in the following disciplines from students (Indian Citizens only) pursuing their final year M.Sc. from recognized Indian Universities/Institutes during the academic year 2026–27.

Minimum Educational Qualifications
Students pursuing their final year M.Sc. during the academic year 2026–2027 from a recognized Indian University/Institute are eligible to apply.
Nature of Internship
- The internship/project work duration will be six months and will be conducted in offline mode at DIBT, Mysuru.
- A Completion Certificate will be issued to students after successful completion of the six-month internship period from the date of joining.
Nationality
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Students studying or having studied in countries outside India are not eligible.
Selection Procedure
Students should possess an excellent academic record with:
- 85% and above marks, or
- CGPA greater than 8.5 on a scale of 10.
Selection will be based entirely on academic merit.
Only selected students will be informed regarding the joining procedure through email.

Documents Required with Application
The following documents must be combined into a single PDF in the order specified below:
- Duly filled Application Form as per attached format.
- Copies of all previous semester marksheets.
- Recommendation letter from the college/institute.
- Brief biodata/resume (less than 300 words) highlighting achievements.
- Duly filled Undertaking Form as per attached format.
Boarding & Lodging
All expenses related to lodging, boarding, transportation, medical, or any personal expenditure during the internship shall be borne entirely by the individual.
No reimbursement or support for such expenses will be provided by the organization.
Payment of Stipend
- Stipend amount: Rs. 5000/- per month.
- Total stipend for 06 months: Rs. 30,000/-.
- Payment will be made in two installments of Rs. 15,000/- each.
Installment Details
- First installment: After successful completion of 03 months.
- Second installment: After successful completion of 06 months.
Attendance Requirement: A minimum of 15 working days of physical attendance per month at DIBT is mandatory.
Payment Mode: The stipend will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.

Documents Required at the Time of Joining
Selected students must submit the following documents at the time of joining:
- Original Referral/Permission Letter from college authorities issued on the college letterhead as per Annexure ‘B’, clearly stating permission for internship training at DIBT.
- Police Verification Certificate (mandatory).
- Undertaking forms regarding adherence to:
- Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
- IT Rules and Regulations applicable to the Ministry of Defence
(Annexure ‘C’ & ‘D’)
- Bank details for transfer of internship stipend.
- Physical Fitness Certificate from an authorized MBBS medical practitioner.
- Original documents for verification:
- Aadhaar Card
- College ID Card
- Previous semester marksheets
- Three passport-size photographs.
Important Terms & Conditions
- Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria and norms mentioned in the advertisement before applying.
