Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing Graduation in Engineering must have a minimum CGPA of 7.0 in all previous semesters.
• Candidates pursuing Post Graduation in Science must have secured a minimum of 65% marks in the 1st year examination.
• Students must be enrolled in a full-time course in the respective discipline from an AICTE/UGC-approved College/University.

Internship Duration

• The internship duration will be 06 months.
• A Completion Certificate will be issued only after successful completion of the internship period from the date of joining.

Application Process

How to Apply

1. Candidates must send a scanned copy of the duly filled application form along with the Reference/Request Letter from the college for Paid Internship (as per prescribed format) to the Director, NMRL through email only.
2. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.

Documents Required

Applicants must submit the following documents:

1. Filled application form in the prescribed format
2. Copy of mark sheets of previous semesters/years
3. Copy of Aadhaar Card
4. Reference/Request Letter from college for Paid Internship
5. Brief bio-data in less than 300 words highlighting achievements

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on marks obtained in previous examinations and online interview/interaction, wherever required.
• Age Limit: Below 25 years
• Selected students will be informed regarding joining procedures through the registered email ID only.
• Incomplete, erroneous, or late applications will be rejected.
• Selection will be strictly on merit basis.
• No communication will be entertained regarding rejected applications.

Boarding and Lodging

• No boarding or lodging expenses will be provided.

Stipend Details

1. Internship stipend is applicable only if the student is present in the laboratory for a minimum of 15 working days per month.
2. Stipend payment will be made in two installments:
   • First installment after completion of 03 months
   • Second installment after completion of 06 months
3. Project internship for M.Tech/M.Sc students may be extended by 8–10 months without stipend.
4. Stipend will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.

Award of Certificate

1. Certificate of Completion will be awarded after:
   • Successful completion of internship
   • Evaluation of project work
   • Submission of project report
   • Completion of all formalities
2. Students leaving the internship midway will not receive:
   • Completion Certificate
   • Stipend payment

Terms and Conditions

1. Interns must strictly follow laboratory guidelines during the internship period.
2. Internship may be terminated in case of indisciplinary activities.
3. NMRL/DRDO is under no obligation to provide employment after completion of internship.
4. Interns cannot claim employment rights based on internship completion.
5. Management reserves the right to modify vacancy positions or selection criteria at any stage without assigning reasons.

Documents Required at the Time of Joining

Selected candidates must submit the following original documents during joining:

• Original mark sheets of all previous semesters/years
• Original Reference/Request Letter from college
• Original Bonafide Certificate from the college
• Original No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities
• Police verification certificate from hometown/place of residence
• Undertaking regarding adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
• Undertaking to follow IT Rules and Regulations applicable to the Ministry of Defence
• Bank account details for stipend transfer
• Original Aadhaar Card and College ID Card
• Three passport-size colour photographs
• Any additional documents as communicated during selection/joining
