Project Overview

“Potential probiotics from the fermented food and beverages of northeast India for better gut health and disease management.”
The project will be jointly executed with the industry partner, Bharat Biotech International Limited. The project focuses on developing next-generation probiotics from traditional food sources of Northeast India.

1. Senior Project Associate
Position Details
- Post Name: Senior Project Associate

- Salary: ₹42,000 + 18% HRA per month

Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- Master’s degree in: Biotechnology, Microbiology
- With: Minimum four years of research experience
- OR PhD in Biological Sciences from a recognized university
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Post 1
- Experience in: Rodent model handling, Downstream processing, Analysis of animal-derived samples, Microbiological techniques, Mammalian cell culture, Molecular biology techniques
Post 2
- Experience in: Probiotic screening, Microbiological techniques, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Library preparation and sequencing, Bioinformatics analysis, Computational tools/software for biological data analysis

Salary Structure
- ₹35,000 + 18% HRA per month for candidates qualified in: CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, GATE, Other national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments/agencies/institutions
- OR ₹28,000 + 18% HRA per month for other candidates
