The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Life Science Research Job as a Senior Research Fellow. Essential Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree in Life and allied sciences OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

    • Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
    • Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc. (life and allied sciences) AND 2 years of research experience (Life and allied Sciences).
  • Desirable Experience: Prior experience in molecular biology and biophysical techniques is preferred.
  • Age Limit: Must not be over 32 years as on 31 July 2026, relaxable for certain reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
  • Fellowship: ₹42,000 per month + HRA as applicable.
  • Last Date for Application: 31 July 2026
  • Mode of Interview: Hybrid mode (online/offline)
  • Duration: Initially one year, extendable based on performance and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis, renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
  • The position is co-terminus with the project.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  • Original documents of age proof, certificates, degrees, mark sheets, and other testimonials must be presented along with self-attested photocopies at the time of the interview (when the interview is conducted in person).
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated through email to appear in the interview; no other communication will be entertained.
