Job Description
The Junior Research Fellow will engage in a project focused on understanding mitochondrial dynamics during macrophage differentiation in Drosophila. The role involves conducting Drosophila genetics and cell biology experiments, as well as data analysis and interpretation to achieve project objectives. The appointment is initially for 12 months and may be extended based on satisfactory progress and fund availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Drosophila genetics and cell biology experiments.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to meet project objectives.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Collaborate with team members and report findings.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and results.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports.
- Participate in training and development activities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, Biochemistry, or Bioinformatics.
- Minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
- CSIR-UGC NET or equivalent qualification/fellowship.
- Age limit of 28 years on the date of application.
- Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.
Required Skills
- Practical knowledge in genetics, imaging, and molecular biology.
- Experience in cell biology techniques.
