Role Overview

The Senior Research Fellow (SRF) will be engaged in advanced research activities focused on genome editing to enhance climate resilience and food security. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, development of genome-edited lines, and application of modern biotechnology tools in agricultural research.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Agricultural Science with a 4–5 year Bachelor’s degree
    OR
  • M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Botany / Life Sciences with a 3-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s degree, along with:
    • NET/GATE qualification
    • Minimum 2 years of research experience

Desirable Qualification

  • Knowledge or experience in:
    • Tissue culture
    • Genome editing
    • Genotyping techniques

Compensation

  • ₹37,000 per month + HRA (1st & 2nd year)
  • ₹42,000 per month + HRA (3rd year)

Age Limit

  • Maximum 35 years for men
  • Maximum 40 years for women
  • Age relaxation applicable as per Government norms

Project Duration: Up to September 30, 2026, or until project completion (whichever is earlier)
