Role Overview
The Research Associate will be engaged in full-time research activities under a CSIR-sponsored project. The role focuses on advancing scientific research in bacterial biosensors for environmental and health applications, ensuring high-quality experimental outcomes and dissemination of findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan experiments aligned with project objectives
- Conduct laboratory research and analyze experimental data
- Draft and publish research papers in scientific journals
- Prepare and submit annual progress reports to Council of Scientific and Industrial Research
- Present research findings at seminars, conferences, and workshops
- Contribute to the overall progress and deliverables of the project
Educational Qualification
- Doctorate degree (PhD) or equivalent
- OR
- Master’s degree (MVSc / MPharm / ME / MTech) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in research, teaching, or design and development
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Expertise in molecular microbiology
- Experience in recombinant DNA technology and gene expression studies
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as:
- RT-PCR
- Western Blot
- Ability to manipulate genetic material and analyze functional outcomes
Age Criteria
Maximum age: 35 years (as of the last date of application)
