Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Research & Development (R&D) activities aligned with the project objectives.
- Work under the CSIR Mission Mode Project on Smart Village.
- Travel extensively to remote villages as part of the project requirements.
- Support scientific research and project-related activities.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess either of the following qualifications:
Option 1
- Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree in Food Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or Chemical Engineering/Technology from a recognized University.
- Minimum 2 years of Research & Development experience in Industrial & Academic Institutions, Science & Technology Organizations, and Scientific Activities & Services.
OR
Option 2
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, or Chemical Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of Research & Development experience in Industrial & Academic Institutions, Science & Technology Organizations, and Scientific Activities & Services.

Salary

Selection Process
The selection process includes:

Important Terms & Conditions
- Engagement is temporary under the sponsored project.
- Initial appointment is up to 28 February 2027 and may be extended up to 31 March 2028, depending on project requirements.
- Candidates awaiting results or appearing in final semester are not eligible.
- Candidates who have completed 6 years of Project Staff tenure in CSIR laboratories/institutes are not eligible.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Candidates currently working in CSIR projects must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current Principal Investigator before applying.
- Engagement does not confer any right to permanent employment or higher degree registration at CSIR-CFTRI or CSIR.
