- Name of the Position: Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)

- Project Title: Development and validation of CRISPR-Cas integrated Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification diagnostic test of the rapid detection of antibiotic-resistant Klebsiella Pneumoniae
- Age: Not exceeding 40 years on the date of the walk-in interview / written test.
- Tenure: Initially for up to one year (extendable up to Project Completion). However, the position is terminus at any point in time.
- Place of work: ICMR-NIHR, Jodhpur or anywhere in India on the project requirements.
Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications:
- Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Genetics / Life Sciences with three years post-qualification experience in the relevant subject OR Post Graduate Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Genetics / Life Sciences with PhD in the relevant subject.
- Desirable:
- Experience of working in Klebsiella pneumoniae diagnostics and CRISPR-Cas technology for diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with antimicrobial resistance studies, especially in Klebsiella pneumoniae and other Gram-negative bacteria, and experience in bacterial resistance profiling.
- Knowledge of diagnostic platform development, particularly in relation to point-of-care testing or low-cost diagnostic systems.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, multiplex PCR, LAMP, gel electrophoresis, sequencing, etc.) and bioinformatics tools for genome sequence analysis and diagnostics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot experimental issues, and project management skills.

Rs.67,000/- + HRA per month (Consolidated)
