Job Overview

A position is available for Quality Executive at the Channo Plant in Patiala, India. The role is responsible for handling PC 32 and 21 production lines, ensuring the delivery of quality products, and fostering a strong quality culture within the plant.

The incumbent will be responsible for stabilizing shift quality operations, achieving shift quality KPIs, minimizing customer complaints, implementing quality systems and standards, supporting food safety initiatives, conducting audits, troubleshooting production issues, and developing quality personnel.

Role Purpose

  • Handling PC 32 and 21 lines at the Channo Plant.
  • Ensuring the production of quality products.
  • Building a quality-driven culture within the plant.
  • Stabilizing shift quality operations.
  • Delivering shift KPIs such as:
    • WIP Control
    • Leakages Control
    • Zero Red Complaints
  • Ensuring minimum customer complaints through stringent online quality control checks and finished product inspections.
  • Implementing quality control systems, standards, and environmental controls.
  • Troubleshooting online production issues to minimize wastage and ensure product quality.
  • Maintaining GMP, GHK, GLP, HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process Audits, and Internal/External Audit compliance.
  • Training and developing Quality Checkers.
  • Ensuring the quality of potatoes issued for production.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control and Food Safety Management

  • Conduct online quality checks during production.
  • Monitor machine operating parameters and process controls.
  • Ensure compliance with PepsiCo quality standards.
  • Verify potato quality before production.
  • Conduct finished product inspections.
  • Support implementation of HACCP, AIB, GMP, GHK, and GLP standards.

Analytical Testing and Process Monitoring

  • Perform Hunter Color Tests.
  • Monitor fryer oil quality through FFA, OV, PV, specific gravity, taste, and odor analysis.
  • Evaluate moisture levels, seasoning quality, bulk density, and oxygen content.
  • Conduct nitrogen flushing tests.
  • Compare production outputs with PepsiCo gold standards.

Quality Executive Role in Packaging Operations

  • Monitor air leakage, product weight, batch coding, and packaging integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with Frito Lay quality standards.
  • Review film quality and packaging performance.
  • Coordinate corrective actions for identified quality issues.

Food Tech Job Responsibilities in Documentation

  • Prepare Daily Quality Reports.
  • Maintain Weak Link Forms.
  • Ensure proper operator logbook documentation.
  • Maintain compliance records for audits and regulatory inspections.

Continuous Improvement and TPM Activities

  • Participate in TPM initiatives.
  • Conduct Take Action Wall Meetings and Mini Wall Meetings.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Qualification Requirements

Essential Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for this Food Tech Job should possess:

  • B.Tech in Food Technology
  • M.Sc. Food Technology
  • Or equivalent qualification in relevant food science disciplines

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
