About the Project

Applications are invited for the engagement of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a purely contractual, time-bound, and temporary basis under the project:

“Transcriptomics intervention and elucidation of transcription factors associated with spine formation in makhana (Euryale ferox Salisb.)”

The project is funded by ANRF PM-ECRG, Government of India and will be carried out at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur.

Eligible and interested candidates are required to appear in person for the walk-in interview along with their bio-data and original supporting documents.

Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • M.Sc. in:
    • Plant Biotechnology, or
    • Biotechnology, or
    • Molecular Biology & Genetic Engineering, or
    • Bioinformatics

Desirable Qualifications

  • Qualified CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR NET, or GATE
  • Minimum two years of research experience in the relevant discipline

The selected candidate will contribute to:

  • Molecular biology and biotechnology-based experimental studies

Terms and Conditions

  • The selected candidate will be required to work full-time in the project for at least six months from the date of joining.
  • Further extension may be granted based on satisfactory performance and project requirements.
  • The appointment is purely temporary and contractual in nature.
  • The position is co-terminus with the project and will automatically terminate upon project completion without prior notice.
  • The selected candidate shall have no claim for permanent appointment, absorption, or re-engagement after project completion.
  • All rules and regulations governing the appointment will be as per University guidelines.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
