Role Overview
The Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) will work under the supervision of the Project Investigator and contribute to a time-bound research project focused on molecular mechanisms in cancer biology. The role requires expertise in molecular biology, gene editing, and advanced cell culture techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct molecular biology experiments and gene editing studies
- Work with CRISPR/Cas9-based techniques
- Perform epigenetics studies, including ChIP-seq and DNA methylation profiling
- Handle mammalian cell lines and perform advanced cell culture work
- Establish and maintain patient-derived organoids
- Support bioinformatics analysis, including Whole Exome Sequencing data
- Conduct drug-sensitivity assays
- Process and analyze clinical tumor samples
Educational Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in Biological Sciences (as per ICMR norms)
Desirable Qualification
- Ph.D. in Biological Sciences
- Research publication(s)
Emoluments
- ₹56,000 per month + 30% HRA (as per funding agency norms)

- Position is contractual (initially for one year or project duration, whichever is shorter)
- No hostel or housing facility will be provided
- No TA/DA for attending interviews
