Role Overview
The QC Microbiology Analyst is responsible for performing microbiological and chemical analysis, environmental monitoring, and laboratory maintenance activities. The role ensures compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal safety protocols while supporting efficient laboratory operations.
Core Purpose of the Role
- Perform microbiological analysis such as bioburden testing, microbial limit testing (MLT), and tests for specified organisms
- Conduct chemical analysis of water samples (PW, WFI, and POW)
- Execute environmental and utility monitoring activities
- Perform water sampling and maintain microbiology laboratory operations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receipt of samples including raw materials, in-process, finished products, and stability samples
- Conduct microbiological and chemical analysis as per specifications
- Perform bioburden and microbial limit tests
- Carry out environmental monitoring of cleanrooms in the microbiology laboratory
- Handle microbiology lab activities including media preparation, sterilization, growth promotion, culture maintenance, and disposal
- Monitor temperature records of equipment and cleanrooms, and track differential pressure in the lab
- Prepare disinfectants and ensure cleaning and fumigation of the laboratory
- Ensure proper sample management and coordination for timely release
- Follow EHSS policies, safety protocols, and good hygiene practices
- Undertake additional microbiology-related responsibilities as required
