Essential Educational Qualification Candidates should possess either:

A Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Entomology, Nematology, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Agriculture Botany, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology, Seed Science and Technology, or Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized university or institute.

OR

A Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized university or institute.

Experience Minimum three years of experience in production, productivity, planning, development, or extension relating to food or cash crops such as oilseeds, jute, cotton, sugarcane, pulses, wheat, coarse cereals, or rice in Government, Semi-Government organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies, Agricultural Universities, or recognized Research Institutes.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Doctoral qualification in the relevant agricultural disciplines.
  • Five years of experience in writing technical reports related to crop development.
  • Two years of administrative experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring agricultural development schemes.
  • Providing technical support to extension agencies.
  • Analyzing weather patterns, crop production, productivity, prices, and marketing trends.
  • Maintaining crop-related records and databases.
  • Coordinating with State Governments and development agencies.
  • Monitoring varietal diversification and crop development programmes.
  • Supervising input availability and extension services.
  • Preparing crop and weather reports.
  • Conducting field visits.
  • Assisting the Director in technical matters.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect licensed drug manufacturing establishments.
  • Verify manufacturing processes, storage facilities, testing methods, and technical staff qualifications.
  • Collect drug samples for testing and analysis.
  • Investigate complaints related to spurious or substandard drugs.
  • Initiate prosecution for violations under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.
Service Details Permanent post under the General Central Service, Group ‘B’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial).
Probation Two (02) years, including mandatory induction training of at least two weeks as prescribed by the Central Government.
