Job Details:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian Nationals) for one (1) position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in an ANRF-funded research project entitled, “Role of Short-Chain Fatty Acids in Immune Regulation and Pathogenesis of Vitiligo” sanctioned to Dr. Ravinder Kumar, Department of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the research project titled “Role of Short-Chain Fatty Acids in Immune Regulation and Pathogenesis of Vitiligo.” Successful candidates for this Junior Research Fellowship role will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in laboratory techniques.
  • Perform laboratory techniques including PCR, qPCR, cell culture, ELISA, GC-MS
  • Conduct animal handling and immunological assays
  • Utilize flow cytometry for experimental analysis
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and research documentation

Qualifications:

  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology/Life Sciences OR To be considered for the Junior Research Fellowship, a strong academic background is essential.
  • Master’s Degree in Zoology/Life Sciences with at least 60% marks

Experience:

  • NET/GATE qualified (Desirable). For Junior Research Fellowship candidates, experience with relevant techniques is a plus.
  • Experience in techniques like PCR, qPCR, cell culture, ELISA, GC-MS, animal handling, flow cytometry, and immunological assays, etc.

Skills Needed:

  • Strong laboratory and research skills, which are crucial for success in the Junior Research Fellowship position.
  • Knowledge of molecular biology and immunology techniques
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle biological samples and experimental setups

Salary Details:

  • Rs 37,000/- per month + HRA (20%) (NET/GATE qualified) OR
  • Rs 30,000/- per month + HRA (20%) (non-NET/GATE), as per ANRF norms. The Junior Research Fellowship offers competitive remuneration based on your qualifications.

  • No. of Posts: 01 (One)
  • Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the date of interview (Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India guidelines)
  • Duration: One-year OR co-terminus with the project. The Junior Research Fellowship tenure matches the project duration.
