Key Responsibilities & Technical Scope

The role focuses on high-precision microbial analysis and environmental control to ensure the safety of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

  • Microbiological Analysis: Perform MLT (Microbial Limit Testing), BET (Bacterial Endotoxin Testing), and microbial analysis of water and products as per official monographs and SOPs.

  • Environmental Monitoring: Execute routine environmental monitoring and water sampling, ensuring all data is accurately documented and reported in the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).

  • Laboratory Standards: Maintain the 5S workplace standards and oversee the preparation of media, cultures, and reagents. Ensure the use of certified glassware and reference standards.

  • Compliance & Investigations: Strictly follow ALCOA++ data integrity principles. Responsible for initiating investigations into laboratory deviations such as LIR (Lab Investigation Report), OOT (Out of Trend), and OOS (Out of Specification).

  • Equipment Management: Handle the calibration and verification of instruments including pH meters, analytical balances, colony counters, and autoclaves.

Qualifications & Skills Required

This Microbiology Job requires a professional who is technically proficient and safety-conscious.

  • Experience Level: 3–6 Years.

  • Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Microbiology.

  • Compliance Framework: Deep expertise in cGMP, GLP, GDP, and ALCOA++ standards is mandatory.

  • Analytical Proficiency: Solid understanding of GxP, BET, and chemical/microbial water analysis.

  • Operational Control: Ability to manage team priorities based on plant requirements and maintain meticulous logbooks for instrument usage.
