Technical Assistant

Job Specification: To be deployed in the Divisions of Biochemistry/ Cancer Biology/ Endocrinology/ Molecular & Structural Biology/ Neuroscience & Ageing Biology / Pharmacology. The incumbent is expected to assist Scientists in carrying out Genomics, Proteomics, Gene Sequencing, Cloning, Gene Expression, Cell & Tissue culture, etc.

  • Age Limit: 28 Years

Essential Qualification:

  • B.Sc. (Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Zoology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Biomedical Science / Medical Lab Technology) with ≥60% AND one-year professional qualification
    OR one-year experience in Genomics, Human Genetics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, Endocrinology, Molecular & Structural Biology, Neuroscience & Ageing Biology, Medical Lab Technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in Genomics, Proteomics, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Digital PCR, Mass Spectrometry, Micro-Array
  • Conduct molecular techniques: DNA Gel Electrophoresis, PCR, Plasmid Isolation
  • Cell & tissue culture, RT-PCR, Western Blotting
  • Rodent handling, dosing, euthanasia
  • GLP/NABL documentation, lab reports, data management
