Position Details

  • Name of the Post: Project Associate (02 positions)
  • Fellowship: ₹25,000 + 24% HRA per month
  • Essential Qualifications
    • M.Sc./ M.Tech./B.Tech (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Genetics
    • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA
    • Candidates qualified in CSIR-UGC-NET (including lectureship), DBT-BET, or GATE will be preferred
    • Strong programming skills are required
    • Students awaiting results may apply with a provisional passing certificate
  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Applicants must demonstrate:
    • Programming ability in Python and familiarity with scripts in other languages
    • Ability to understand algorithms and analyze Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data
    • Capability to apply Machine Learning/Deep Learning techniques
    • Strong record-keeping, organizational skills, team spirit, and readiness to learn new methodologies

Scope of Work

Selected candidates will work on:

  • Developing bioinformatics tools and resources
  • Genomic data analysis and structural bioinformatics
  • Analyzing NGS datasets
  • Applying machine learning/deep learning models to identify early disease biomarkers
