Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Bioinformatician at Unipath, you will:
• Analyze high-throughput sequencing datasets (WGS, WES, RNA-seq, metagenomics, single-cell).
• Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and algorithms.
• Design clinical panels for diagnostic applications.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists, clinicians, and external partners.
• Visualize and present data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to publications, grant proposals, and technical reports.
• Stay updated with the latest bioinformatics tools, NGS databases, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
• MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Freshers are highly encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Git version control.
• Programming knowledge in Python, R, or Perl.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferable Skills
• Hands-on experience with NGS tools (e.g., GATK, STAR, DESeq2).
• Knowledge of applying machine learning to biological datasets.
• Familiarity with workflow management systems (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake).
• Strong analytical and statistical mindset.
