Enveda is looking for an innovative and self-motivated candidate for the role of Senior Scientist to join our invitropharmacology research team.
The successful candidate will lead a team of 2-5 researchers and provide direction and expertise to establish and validate in-vitro models and evaluate the effect of test compounds in various in-vitro and ex-vivo assays related to the therapeutic areas in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
You get to collaborate on:
- Take a key laboratory-based role to ensure the ongoing support of drug discovery programmes using cell-based and biochemical assays
- Design, validate, and execute diverse in-vitro assays, surrounding different key cellular processes and signal transduction pathways to support drug development studies
- Investigate molecular mechanisms leading to pharmacological effect as well as the mode of action of compounds at the cellular level
- Collaborate in target identification and validation efforts
- Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, record experimental data and observations on a timely basis
- Conduct statistically supported data analysis, troubleshooting, and deliver results in a timely manner to enable informed decision-making
- Record experimental data and observations on a timely basis in company-specified format
- Prepare, review, and deliver scientific presentations for internal/external use
- Communicate the status of projects, challenges, results, and proposed path forward to internal and external stakeholders and team members
- Think strategically about drug development and drive innovative solutions to key challenges across the organization
Who will thrive in this role?
- PhD in biological sciences with 3–5 years of experience in drug discovery industry or post-doc with 0-2 years’ experience
- Experience in the development of in-vitro assays for diverse diseases especially related to inflammation, immunology, metabolic disorders, etc.
- Extensive knowledge in mechanistic pharmacology, immunology, biochemistry, and cell biology
- Solid understanding of the drug discovery process
- Experience in managing a team in a laboratory setting
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic; scientific curiosity; can-do, will-do attitude
