About the institution

Established in the year 1994, Muthayammal College of Arts and Science has steadily risen to prominence as an esteemed center of education. With a proud history of 29 years, our institution has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving the rural community. Holding the accreditation of “A” Grade from NAAC, along with the coveted status of Autonomy, 2 (f), and 12(b), our college stands as a testa

ment to academic excellence. We offer an array of educational opportunities, including 21 Undergraduate programs, 10 Postgraduate programs, and 5 Ph.D. Research Programs. Notably, the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), under the aegis of the Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi, bestowed upon our college the prestigious “STAR SCHEME” recognition for five of our departments, namely Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Chemistry, during the Academic Year 2018-2021. All the aforementioned recognition reaffirms our commitment to excellence in education and research.

About the Department

Muthayammal College of Arts and Science is proud to house a dedicated Research and Development Cell comprising nine accomplished faculty members and three adjunct faculty members, each hailing from diverse fields within the realm of Science and Technology. Our institution boasts a state-of-the-art centralized research laboratory equipped with advanced instrumentation, generously supported by DST-FIST. We take pride in our CCSEA, New Delhi- approved animal house facility (Registration No. 1416/PO/Re/S/11/CPCSEA), which enables ethical experimentation on laboratory animals, closely overseen by our vigilant Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC). Furthermore, our R&D cell has been successful in securing grants from various funding agencies, to a total worth exceeding rupees 2 crores. Beyond this, our R&D cell oversees the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC), the Institute-Industry Interaction (III) Cell, and the Eco-Club, all contributing to our institution’s dynamic research and development.

The Research and Development Cell is pleased to announce the forthcoming National Conference on Disease Diagnosis and Drug Development against Human Pathogens. Our conference aims to serve as an exceptional platform for stimulating discussions and the exchange of ideas among experts in the domains of drug discovery and related fields. Esteemed scientists and scholars from top-tier institutions will grace the event, shedding light on diverse aspects of drug development against human pathogens.

Conference Structure

The conference is organized with invited talks, paper presentations, and poster presentations. Best paper and poster presentations will be awarded.

Oral/Poster Presentation

Abstract in 300 words shall be emailed to [email protected] on or before 10.11.2023. Acceptance of the Abstract for oral presentation will be notified to the corresponding author within a week through email. Posters should be clearly visible with the recommended poster size of 36 inches high by 48 inches wide (92 cm x 122 cm).
