Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Project Assistant in a DBT – Ramalingaswami Fellowship funded research project entitled “Exosome based therapy in cervical cancer” in the Laboratory of Dr. Ram Mohan Ram Kumar at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Age – Below 28 years as on May 22, 2023 . Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

Duration – Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to two years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation on a yearly basis.

Selection Process & Instructions 

  1. Applications should be submitted online.
  2. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channels.
  3. The last date for receiving completed applications is May 22, 2023.
  4. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection of the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.

Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.

Essential Qualifications – The candidate must have an MSc/ B.tech in any relevant discipline with a demonstrable understanding of basic molecular biology. The candidates must have at least 6 months of documented prior experience in animal cell culture. Candidates with prior experience in molecular cloning and microscopy are strongly preferred. Candidates must have a keen interest in cancer research, willing to learn quickly and with good organizational and inter-personal skills.

Emoluments – ₹ 12,000/- + 16% HRA.
