Project Name – Deciphering the role of epigenetic modification in anti-viral immune response to develop novel drug target

Brief Description – Within the scope of this project, the differential histone modifications in the enhancer/promoter region of Interferon Stimulating Genes (ISGs) in virus-infected mammalian cells will be examined. Moreover, the regulation of histone modifiers (HAT, HDAC) and different chromatin readers during antiviral immune response will also be investigated.

Age Limit – Age should not exceed 50 years on the date of advertisement.

Consolidated Remuneration [INR] Per Month – 20,000/- (Consolidated)

Essential Qualifications –

Master’s degree in biochemistry/ biotechnology/ genetics/zoology/ bioinformatics
OR
B.Sc. in any Biological Science discipline with experience in a related field.

Desirable Qualifications –

1. Experience in genetic and genomic data analysis.
2. Good communication skills in Bengali, Hindi, and English.
3. Hands-on working experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA
   sequencing) and data analysis

Nature of Duty –

1. Patient sample collection and patient data maintenance.
2. Basic molecular biology work.
