WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
A Walk-in-interview for selection to (01) Senior Epidemiologist; (01) Bio Statistician, (02)
Bio informatics specialist, (01) IT Consultant cum Programmer, purely on contract
basis initially for a period till the end of current Financial Year, subject to further extension,
is scheduled to be held at National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 22, Sham Nath
Marg, Delhi -110054 on 28th September 2021.

Selection Procedure:
Registration of the candidates will
be carried out on 28th September 2021, between 9:30a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at NCDC, Delhi followed by a personal interview on the same date,
the candidates are required to submit their resume along with photocopies of all
documents/testimonials and 2 passport size photographs at the time of registration.
Terms & Conditions:
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the Walk-in-Interview
- Candidate must ensure their eligibility as per Terms of Reference (TOR) before
appearing in Walk-in-Interview, the detailed advertisement can be viewed at the website

for the verification, candidates without original documents will not be permitted to
appear in the interview.
For Post I
Remuneration: Rs. 75,000/- pm
Education Qualification Required:
Essential Qualification:
Master degree (M. Tech/ M. Sc/ MS) in Bioinformatics or Biotechnology /Life Sciences with specialization in Bioinformatics from a recognized University. At least one year experience after M. Tech / MS degree or 3 years after M. Sc degree in the field of bioinformatics as evident from publications in scientific journals of high international repute.
Desirable qualification:
- Candidate holding Post Doc in Bioinformatics
- Candidates holding PhD degrees on a relevant topic related to any of the above fields from
a recognized University will be given preference. - Research and development of various bioinformatics tools to study, analyze and
interpret data related to laboratory-based studies on infectious diseases. Molecular
modelling as applied to molecular biology and genetics of infectious diseases or other
similar areas related to bioinformatics of human diseases.
Terms of Reference:
Handle genome sequencing analysis software, which includes aligning, assembling and
annotating the sequences.
For Post II
Remuneration: Rs. 75000/- pm consolidated
Education Qualification Required:
Essential Qualification:
PhD in Statistics
OR
Masters in Biostatistics with 2 years experience in the health sector
OR
Masters in Statistics with 2 years experience in the health sector
Desirable qualification:
Experience in conducting/participating in large scale quantitative health research studies or working with health programmes / Experience in preparing Health reports, scientific papers and presentations / Publications in peer-reviewed journals
Terms of Reference:
- To understand the quality and potential utility of collected genome sequencing data.
- To create templates for analysis (using whatever analytical software package is
commonly available and familiar to users, and can work with database structure in use).
Templates should be accessible via the portal and used by officers and/or data managers
at State and INSACOG Laboratory levels. - Evaluate options for GIS analysis of data
- Compilation of weekly data, laboratory / State / District wise including comparison
with the preceding month. Data should be presented in tabular and graphical format. - Coordination and communication with States and INSAGOG laboratories. Monitor
data reporting status and feedback to be sent to States and laboratories - Assist in training officers and data managers. Provide statistical advice whenever
required. May include travel to assigned States / Laboratories - INSACOG statistical data management and statistical analysis of genome
sequencing data. - Provide quality assurance in data collection and analysis. Examine data for
inconsistencies and follow up for rectification. - Develop / design databases, data cleaning, processing, analysis of primary and
secondary data, support in scientific papers and meetings. - Periodic performance report to be prepared for appraisal.
- Performing other duties as required in the interest of the programme and any other
work/activity assigned from time to time.
