Qualifications:
Amrita School of Biotechnology has openings for M.Sc. grads to be recruited to work on a research project to address the reversal of bacterial antibiotic resistance. This includes research on the causes and also mechanisms of multi-drug resistance (ideally with
Pseudomonas aeruginosa), CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, as well as genetic engineering of phage vectors.This applicant will certainly be personally engaged in the areas of mechanisms as well as the reversal of bacterial antibiotic resistance, CRISPR/Cas9 editing in bacterial systems, phage genetic engineering and should have background expertise in microbiology and also molecular biology.
