Job Description

The Young Professional-II position focuses on a DBT-funded project aimed at optimising and characterising the nutraceutical value of traditionally fermented Rice Beer (Zutho) from Nagaland. Candidates interested in research and possessing the required qualifications are encouraged to attend the walk-in interview.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct metabolite profiling and physicochemical analysis.
  • Perform bioactive extraction and nutraceutical quality validation.
  • Engage in statistical analysis related to the project.
  • Collaborate with project team members to achieve research objectives.
  • Document research findings and prepare reports.
  • Assist in the overall management of the project.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree in biochemistry, food sciences, or life sciences.
  • A 3-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree without NET qualification will be considered.
  • Experience in metabolite profiling and related techniques is desirable.
  • Age limit: Maximum 35 years with applicable age relaxation.

Documents Required

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer (if applicable).
  • Bio-data as per the format given in Annexure–I.
  • Self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets from 10th, 12th, Under-graduation, and Post-graduation.

Candidates should report for the interview at 11:00 A.M. on 17 August 2026 at the Division of Biochemistry, ICAR-IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi – 110012. The time for the interview will be allotted separately to each candidate after verifying their certificates.
