Job Description
The Senior Project Associate-I will engage in a DST-Cognitive Science Research Initiative (CSRI) sponsored project focusing on targeting Fibronectin 1 (FN1) for cognitive dysfunction associated with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). This position in research jobs requires expertise in various research methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on cognitive dysfunction associated with temporal lobe epilepsy.
- Utilize rodent models for behavioral neuroscience studies.
- Perform molecular biology techniques and data analysis.
- Engage in scientific writing and documentation of research findings.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator and other team members.
- Prepare reports and presentations based on research outcomes.
- Assist in the supervision of junior researchers and students.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to the project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biomedical Science/Neuroscience/Molecular Biology or equivalent with four years of experience in R&D in academic/industrial institutions.
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is also acceptable.
- Maximum age limit is 40 years as per Government of India/DST norms.
Required Skills
- Experience in rodent models and behavioral neuroscience.
- Proficiency in molecular biology and immunohistochemistry.
- Knowledge of microscopy and cell culture techniques.
- Familiarity with EEG/electrophysiology.
- Background in epilepsy research.
- Strong scientific writing skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
