Position Overview
The Expert Quality Control will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analytical processes that support product quality and regulatory compliance within the Life Science division. The role involves performing analytical testing, maintaining quality standards, documenting laboratory activities, supporting investigations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to quality management systems and laboratory best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely sampling and analysis in accordance with defined turnaround times.
- Ensure first-time-right execution of analytical activities and maintain product quality standards.
- Perform data trending and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instruments as required.
- Prepare standards, stock solutions, and laboratory reagents.
- Document analytical results, observations, and laboratory activities in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Participate in shift monitoring and communicate technical findings to supervisors and team members.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams to investigate quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and laboratory compliance standards.
- Participate in process improvement and Kaizen initiatives.
- Design, optimize, and validate analytical methods to ensure accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess a degree in any of the following disciplines:
- Biochemistry
- Related scientific discipline
Equivalent practical experience in a Quality Control laboratory environment will also be considered.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Hands-on experience in analytical techniques, sample analysis, and laboratory operations within a regulated manufacturing or Life Science environment.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience in preparing, following, and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), investigations, or Kaizen initiatives.
- Experience in designing, optimizing, and validating analytical methods.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for reporting technical findings.
- Ability to work in a shift-based environment.
- Ability to manage multiple analytical priorities while meeting quality and compliance requirements.
Technical Skills
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with:
- High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES)
- Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS)

- Titration techniques
