Job Description
The Senior Executive will serve as an Application Specialist in the LIMS ELN and Entity Registration Platforms team. This role is pivotal in bridging scientific research needs with IT solutions, primarily focusing on Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). The individual will partner with researchers, lab personnel, and IT to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure effective implementation and support of ELN/LIMS capabilities, enhancing data quality and compliance in life science jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with scientists and lab managers to document user needs and process maps for ELN/LIMS and GenAI use cases.
- Solution Design: Work with platform engineers to design configurations and integrations aligned with BMS standards.
- GenAI Enablement: Identify high-value GenAI opportunities and support pilots through scale-up.
- Instrument & Data Connectivity: Ensure metadata practices and support interoperability with analytics environments.
- Delivery & Support: Manage backlogs, write user stories, and provide post-go-live support.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure documentation and audit readiness in collaboration with QA/Validation.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Coordinate across Research, IT, and vendors for continuous improvement goals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Life Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering) or related field.
- Experience as a Business Analyst in life-sciences R&D with a focus on ELN/LIMS configuration.
- Good experience enabling enterprise GenAI solutions for scientific knowledge or workflow assistance.
- Familiarity with ELN/LIMS configuration, REST APIs/JSON, and basic SQL.
- Strong analytical skills to translate complex scientific requirements into measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills for lab, IT, and leadership audiences.
- Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, and GxP/CLIA principles.
