Educational Qualification

  • Postgraduate degree in Nematology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Botany, or any relevant discipline of Life Sciences.
  • OR
  • Graduate degree in relevant Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, or Technology.

Desirable Qualification

  • Experience in basic molecular techniques including nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction digestion, ligation, and molecular marker analysis.
  • Experience in molecular cloning and recombinant vector development.
  • Experience in genetic transformation of crops (preferably rice).
  • Experience in development and analysis of transgenic plants.
  • Experience in plant genome editing.
  • Experience in plant tissue culture.
  • Experience in nematode culturing.
  • Scientific writing experience supported by publications.

Age Limit

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 45 years

Emoluments: ₹42,000 per month (Fixed)

Duration

  • Initially for up to 12 months from the date of engagement or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
  • The engagement may be extended based on project extension, satisfactory performance, and work requirements.
  • Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination with one month’s notice.

Selection Process

  • The position is purely temporary, contractual, unreserved, and co-terminus with the project.
