Key Responsibilities
- Enable digital platforms at the operational level to support data integration and curation.
- Develop and implement customized and semi-automated data curation workflows.
- Identify and evaluate new tools and technologies for ontology usage, generation, and management.
- Manage cross-functional projects related to data integration.
- Develop governance policies for the maintenance of ontologies and terminologies.
- Collaborate with and guide internal and external stakeholders, including R&D Project Business Partners, Managers, Lab Heads, Department Heads, IT and data science teams, vendors, data providers, and CROs.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s degree in Biomedical Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Biology, Medicine, or a related field.
- Ph.D. is desirable.
Experience & Skills
- Several years of practical experience in the pharmaceutical or comparable life science industry.
- Deep understanding of life science R&D processes.
- Expertise in ontology and terminology management and data curation processes.
- Experience with ontology management and data curation tools, especially TopBraid EDG.
- Knowledge of FAIR data principles.
- Experience in information analysis using controlled vocabularies, thesauri, and ontologies.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects.
- High level of reliability, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, conceptual, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
