Eligibility Requirements

  • Hold a permanent position in an Indian or French University or R&D Institution.
  • Be eligible to manage research grants in their respective country.
  • Possess a valid ORCID/ResearcherID.
  • Submit a joint proposal involving Indian and French collaborators.

Project Team Structure

  • Mandatory Requirements
    • One Indian Principal Collaborator (PI)
    • One French Principal Collaborator (PI)
  • New Co-PI Provision
    • One Co-PI allowed on the Indian side.
    • One Co-PI allowed on the French side.
    • Co-PIs must belong to the same institution as the respective PI.
  • Additional Collaborators
    • Additional Joint Collaborators are permitted.
    • Additional Co-PIs from other institutions may participate.
    • No extra funding will be provided for additional Co-PIs.

Funding Support

Maximum Budget Up to €220,000 for the entire project duration. Projects exceeding this limit will not be considered.

  • International Travel
  • Contingency Expenses
  • Minor Equipment (Maximum 10% of project budget, up to €20,000)

  • Salaries of permanent institutional staff
  • Equipment support for French institutions

Important Fellowship Support

  • PhD Fellowship
    • €1,870 per month (net)
    • Up to 36 months
    • Total support approximately €74,000
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship
    • €2,400 per month (net)
    • Up to 12 months
    • Additional salary support may be available
