Educational Qualification & Experience
Essential Qualification
The candidate should possess:
- PhD in:
- Biochemistry
- Bioengineering
- with experience in:
- Mammalian cell culture.
- Routine molecular biology techniques.
Preferred Experience
Candidates having experience in the following areas will be strongly preferred:
- Development of kits for:
- Bio-analytes
- Pathogens
- Related diagnostic applications
Desirable Experience
Experience in the following areas is desirable:
- Polymers
- Biomaterials
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
- Excellent academic record.
- First Class M.Sc. degree.
- Qualification in national-level examinations.
- Strong research background relevant to the project objectives.
Project Responsibilities
The selected Project Research Scientist – I (Non-Medical) will contribute to activities associated with:
- Development of a point-of-care cyanide detection kit.
- Validation of smartphone-based diagnostic technologies.
- Mammalian cell culture experiments.
- Molecular biology-based investigations.
- Biomaterial and polymer-related research activities.
- Bio-analyte detection system development.
- Project-related scientific and technical activities.
Duration of Appointment
- Initial Tenure: One Year
- Extension: Extendable by another year based on performance review
- Condition: Subject to availability of project funds
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Remuneration: ₹56,000 per month
- Additional Benefit: 20% House Rent Allowance (HRA)
