  • Project Title: β-phenylethylamine (β-PEA) and TAAR-1 pathway as a plausible pharmacological target against Huntington’s disease
  • Project Investigator: Dr. Bhavani Shankar Sahu
  • Location: Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana
  • Age Limit: Maximum 40 years (as on the last date of receipt of application)
  • Tenure: The post is co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualification

  • Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Science or Engineering, or an M.D./M.S. degree in any area of medicine, with research interests in Biotechnology and Life Sciences, and a good academic record with at least one first-author publication arising from PhD work.
  • Applicants who have already submitted the Ph.D./ M.D./ M.S. thesis are also eligible to apply. However, such applicants, if selected, will be offered a lower fellowship amount till they qualify for the eligible degree as evidenced by completion of thesis defense.

Desirable Experience

Candidates with experience in physiology and cell biology with an additional skill set in molecular pharmacology, cell culture, CRISPR, and mouse handling will be preferred.

Fellowship

₹ 45,000/- + HRA as per applicable (RA Provisional – Ph.D Thesis Submitted candidate) & ₹ 58,000/- + HRA as per applicable (RA – Ph.D candidate)
