Key Responsibilities
- The fellow will systematically investigate the shared and distinctive characteristics of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) and intrinsically disordered protein regions, and leverage these insights to develop a knowledge-driven predictive framework for AMP identification with enhanced accuracy, interpretability, and functional granularity.
- The study will integrate meta-analyses, machine learning techniques, predictive framework development, and webserver design to build robust and accessible tools for the scientific community.
Qualifications

- First class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Computational Biology / or related areas
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine with specialization in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Computational Biology / or related areas from a recognized University or equivalent
- AND
- GATE/NET/GPAT qualified
(Those who are not GATE/NET/GPAT qualified shall be considered for the post lower than JRF as per Government of India norms.)
Experience
Candidates with educational backgrounds in:
- Bioinformatics

- Computational Biology
- Related Life Science disciplines

Age Limit

Fellowship / Stipend
- For JRF (NET/GATE Qualified Candidates): ₹37,000/- per month
- For Project Associate-I (Non-NET/GATE Candidates): ₹30,000/- per month
Registration for PhD
Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani, subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.
