Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work on the project titled:
“Enzymatic modification of guar meal proteins for applications in human nutrition and cosmeceuticals: Proteomics approach and pre-clinical validation.”
Candidates with expertise in proteins, bioactive peptides, protein hydrolysis, proteomics, molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, and pre-clinical validation studies will be preferred for this Biotechnology Fellowship opportunity under NIFTEM Careers.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Animal Biochemistry, Animal Biotechnology, Food Science & Technology, Pharmacology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, OR Allied disciplines.
- NET/GATE qualified candidates with a prior publication record in relevant areas may be given preference.
Age Limit
- Maximum 35 years. Relaxation of 5 years for women/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ differently abled candidates as per Government of India rules.
Experience
Candidates having the following research experience will be preferred:
- Research experience in Proteins, bioactive peptides, protein hydrolysis, and Bioinformatics.
- Strong expertise in laboratory animal experimentation.
- Analysis of advanced in vivo/ex vivo studies.
- Experience in Proteomics, in-silico analysis, and molecular docking.
Skills Needed
- Expertise in molecular biology techniques.
- Expertise in cell biology techniques.
- Experience with qRT-PCR.
- Experience with SDS-PAGE.
- Experience with Western Blotting.
- Experience with ELISA.
- Strong expertise in cell culture work.
- Knowledge of Proteomics and Bioinformatics tools.
- Experience in molecular docking and in-silico analysis.
