Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preclinical/laboratory experiments on late-stage BMS portfolio compounds to support annual goals and objectives for Translational Medicine for internal/external collaborations and compound-specific plans.
- Deliver data in support of translational strategies, including biomarkers, patient selection hypotheses, dose and schedule, combination strategies, resistance mechanisms, and differentiation.
- Interface with TM scientists across departments to ensure seamless flow of information for assets entering translational medicine.
- Assist in designing experiments and delivering data for collaborative projects along with TM scientists.
- Maintain comprehensive records, communicate regularly, and make presentations within the department.
- Report experimental findings in written nonclinical pharmacology study reports to support regulatory filings.
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s with relevant work experience across immunology, oncology, and heme-oncology focus areas.
- Industry experience is a plus.
Experience & Technical Skills Needed
- Cell culture, primary cell isolation, cell transfection, and single-cell cloning.
- Experience with siRNA, CRISPR, TALEN, or HDR workflows.
- Gene expression methods, including qRT-PCR, and familiarity with RNA sequencing.
- Epigenomic methods, including methylation analysis and ChIP.
- Protein analyses and immunoassays, including ELISA, MSD, Luminex, TSA, CBA, and flow cytometry.
- Design, setup, and execution of autoimmune, solid tumor oncology, or heme-oncology in vivo pharmacology models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competence in analysis and problem-solving with a focus on overall project goals.
- Understanding of the methodological basis and biological significance of assays performed.
- Ability to forecast potential issues and troubleshoot technical and experimental problems efficiently.
