Role Overview
The Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) will support advanced genomic and bioinformatics research focused on understanding pathogenic Escherichia coli evolution. In this Microbiology Job, the role involves analyzing complex biological datasets and contributing to important research outcomes under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bioinformatics and genomic data analysis as required by the microbiology job profile.
- Work on prokaryotic genomics, GWAS, metagenomics, and NGS datasets
- Develop and apply computational pipelines for biological data interpretation
- Utilize programming tools such as Python or R for data analysis
- Work in Linux-based environments for research workflows
- Support research documentation and reporting activities in every aspect of the microbiology job.
Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification
Essential:
- First-class Postgraduate degree (including integrated PG degrees), OR
- Second-class Postgraduate degree with a PhD

- Experience in Prokaryotic Genomics, GWAS, Metagenomics, and NGS data analysis
- Proficiency in Python and/or R programming, with exposure to AI techniques

Salary
- ₹56,000 per month + 20% HRA
- Total: ₹67,200 per month
