JOB DETAILS :

  • Project titled: “Development of Sustainable and Indigenous Porcine Collagen Extraction Technology for Cartilage and Bone Regeneration in Battlefield Injuries.”
  • Sponsored by DIA-CoE, IIT Kanpur, this project offers exceptional exposure to candidates searching for high-level research jobs and advanced life sciences jobs involving collagen extraction, biomolecule purification, and large-scale bioprocess development.
  • Salary: ₹42,000 + 10% HRA per month

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences / Life Sciences
  • Qualification in CSIR-UGC NET or GATE
  • Postgraduate in relevant professional courses (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences)
  • At least 2 years of research experience in biology, biochemistry, or related fields

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidate will work on collagen extraction and characterization from animal-derived or recombinant sources. Responsibilities include:

  • Protein extraction, purification & analysis
  • Operating advanced analytical tools:
    • HPLC, XRD, NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR
    • SDS-PAGE
  • Using bioreactor systems for biomolecule extraction
  • Supporting scalable process development for collagen production

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong understanding of biochemistry & protein sciences
