Job Posting: Senior Research Fellow

Project Title: “Development of in-silico platform for analysis of high-throughput Genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics data: Application to human/plant and its pathogens – (NIPGR Component Metagenomics/High Throughput Genomics & Sequence Analysis including Data Visualization and Comparative Analysis Tools for Multi-genome level Data)”

Supervisor: Dr. Niranjan Chakraborty, INSA Senior Scientist, NIPGR

Emoluments: ₹35,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA)

Qualifications:

• Candidates should have a Master’s degree or an equivalent in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Additionally, candidates must have at least two years of post-master’s degree research experience in relevant areas and fulfill the guidelines of DST OM No: SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30/01/2019.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in working with Arabidopsis and molecular biology techniques.

Duration:

The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project. Initially, the appointment will be for one year or until the project’s tenability, whichever is earlier, with the possibility of extension based on performance assessment and discretion of the Competent Authority.

Eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in-interview at NIPGR on April 25, 2025, with a duly filled application form in the prescribed format. The application form, along with self-attested copies of relevant documents, must be submitted between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Candidates must ensure their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
