Job Purpose and Impact

The Executive Food Safety Coordinator at Cargill will play a vital role in establishing, maintaining, and auditing procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, regulatory, and internal quality systems. This position involves supporting a complex facility by overseeing certifications, responding to queries, reports, and complaints related to food and product safety inspections.

Key Accountabilities

• Promote food and product safety awareness within the factory
• Assist in training and mentoring team members on safety procedures
• Define and update quality procedures related to food and product safety
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure adherence to safety programs
• Participate in safety and quality audits to identify and address risk areas
• Handle basic issues and escalate complex problems as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with email, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Process methodology certification
• Knowledge of regulations in the food manufacturing industry
• Graduate/Post Graduate in Science with 2 years of QC experience
