👍We hope this helps in giving you a rough idea as to how to prepare for the interview for this specific role. Good luck!

  1. Can you tell us about your experience in Silkworm rearing management?
Answer: Yes, I have experience in silkworm rearing management as I have completed my specialization in Sericulture, and have worked on silkworm rearing management projects during my master’s degree.
  2. What are the primary host plants of Muga silkworm?
Answer: The primary host plants of Muga silkworm are Machilus bombycina, Litsea polyantha, L. monopetala, and L. cubeba.
  3. What is your understanding of the impact of elevated CO2 and temperature on Muga silkworm and its primary host plants?
Answer: Elevated CO2 and temperature can lead to changes in the physiology and morphology of Muga silkworms and their primary host plants. For example, it can affect the duration of the different life stages of the silkworm, its growth rate, and cocoon productivity.
  4. Can you give an example of a project you have worked on that is similar to APS05021EF?
Answer: Yes, I have worked on a project studying the role of host plant volatiles in enhancing egg-laying in silkworms. This project involved collecting volatiles from different host plants, identifying the active compounds, and testing their effects on egg-laying behavior.
  5. How do you plan to use your knowledge and experience to contribute to the research projects mentioned in the job description?
Answer: I plan to use my knowledge and experience in Sericulture, Zoology, and Entomology to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret the results to contribute to the research projects. I am also willing to learn new techniques and collaborate with other researchers to achieve the objectives of the projects.
