Designation – Research Scientist

Department – Structural Biology

Key Responsibilities –

• Recombinant protein production for structure and assay
• Protein Crystallization & Structure Determination
• Crystal Image Annotation
• Adherence to lab process and activities
• Cloning, Expression, Purification, Crystallization, Crystal Structures
• Proposal writings & Client communications
• Active participation in departmental meetings
• Follow safety protocols and maintain the lab in a clean manner
• Gene-to-Protein, Gene-to-Structure and Stable cell lines

Experience required –

• Good scientific knowledge about the basics of the production of proteins for Enzymatic assay and structural work.
• Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Lab operation skills to ensure smooth lab functioning
• Recombinant protein production from various expression systems.
• Expertise in recombinant protein production related to Drug discovery.

Educational qualification – Ph.D (Structural Biology/ Biophysics/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology) with 2-3 years post doctoral/ industrial experience
