POSITION FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)

Tenure of the Project – Three years from June 2022 to May 2025/ completion of the project/ whichever is earlier

Important points –

2. Time – 09.30 AM (Candidates should reach the venue by 9 AM for verification of documents).
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 12 Noon.
4. Venue – CENTRAL SERICULTURAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING INSTITUTE MANANDVADI ROAD, SRIRAMPURA, MYSORE-570 008
5. Upper age limit – 35 years as of the date of the notification, age relaxation is applicable for a maximum period of 5 years in respect of SC/ST/OBC.
6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
7. The above-mentioned position is purely temporary on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.

9. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.

Essential Qualifications – MSc in life science/ MSc in sericulture/ MSc (Agri) Entomology

Desirable qualifications – Knowledge of mass production of insects, bioassay and conducting field experiments on insecticides. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in mass multiplication of insects/ lab culture, conducting field experiments and bioassay studies.

Emoluments –

• For the candidates with NET qualification Rs. 31,000/- plus admissible HRA per month.
• For the candidates without NET qualification Rs. 21,000/- plus admissible HRA per month.
• After successful completion of two years of service as a JRF in the project, the research fellow will be awarded/promoted to SRF.
