General Terms & Conditions –
All the positions will be filled as per the CSIR OM dated March 09, 2021 and August 13, 2020.
The applicants will be subjected to shortlisting by our scientists according to the current requirement and the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed. The duration of the post also depends on the fund available in a particular project and its validity.
Reservation and Age relaxation as per CSIR/Govt. of India guidelines.
Tenure may be extendable up to project duration. The engagement which is on a contract basis in respect of all above positions will confer no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and/ or explicitly for their continuation beyond tenure/ absorption/ regularization in CSIR-IGIB. The contract may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side.
Candidates should note that non-fulfilment of the eligibility criterion will result in the cancellation of candidature at any stage.
Those candidates who are still pursuing M.Sc./B.Tech/PhD or any qualification for the above post(s) on the last date of application will not be considered and age will be calculated on the last date of receiving applications.

A list of shortlisted, selected candidate(s) and candidate(s) kept in the panel will be put up on the CSIR-IGIB website. Panel student(s) will be considered for 1 year. If any PI considers that the panel candidate meets his/her requirement for their project, they will be called; otherwise, a new advertisement will be put up.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. The engagement shall be as per guidelines of the CSIR/Funding agency. Candidates will have an option to give a reply in Hindi.

There would be no automatic shifting of project staff from one project to another. On completion of the tenure in one project, if one wants to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the process of selection by submitting a fresh application. An appointment under the new project would be made only after submission of the ‘No Dues Certificate’ in the previous project and submission of resignation from the previous project.
Note: The shortlisted candidates have to keep ready with them a valid photo ID card, an updated signed C. V. (clearly mentioning Date of Birth, Highest Qualification with percentage, Correspondence Address and Email-ID), Dissertation (if any), PhD thesis (if any) and original certificates/Self-attested photocopies for verification.

Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Post II
Essential Qualifications – M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualifications – Knowledge of a programming language. Research experience in Computational Biology.
For Post III
Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in any stream of Biology/Life Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of two years of experience.
Desirable Qualification – Experience in cell culture handling.
For Post IV (a)
Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with Non-NET
qualification.
Desirable Qualifications – Knowledge of programming any language and/or previous experience with LINUX/Python setup and/or research experience in computational biology
project.
For Post IV (b)
Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with Non-NET

Desirable Qualifications – Experience in Computational Biology and/or web development.

Desirable Qualification – Research experience in the area of cell Biology/Metabolism/
host-pathogen interaction.
For Post VI
Essential Qualifications – Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable – Expertise in Hematological diseases, culture and maintenance of stem cells,
genome editing, mouse studies
OR
Expertise in handling large data sets, and genome/ transcriptome analysis.

Essential Qualifications –
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences /M.VSc. or bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
and - minimum 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services
Desirable – Should be experienced in cell culture.
For Post VIII
Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering or Technology with experience in COVID-19 data analysis.
For Post IX
Essential Qualifications –
- Doctoral degree in Biological Science or Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology
from a recognized University or equivalent;
and - Seven years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable Qualification – Proven expertise in Bioinformatics/ computational work, Big
Data Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) analysis, and experience supported by Publications would be taken into consideration.

Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
