Experience and Qualification
- Masters Degree in Food Science or Technology with minimum 4 years experience in product development and R&D.
- Experience in Extrusion technology is preferred.

Job Description
- Deliver New Product Development Projects as per AOP timeline under Extrusion category – particularly Random Extrusion technology. Achieve major project requirements like consumer needs, financial, QAFS and SRA guardrails.
- Deliver Quality and Productivity agenda of Random Extrusion platform. This role to bring out key insights and support TBM for overall delivery of agenda.
- Build Innovation pipeline of category by translating the ideas into prototypes and finally feed into IGP plans
- Accountabilities – list in priority order the main accountabilities/deliverables of the role, including key measures.
- Deliver consumer winning products as per AOP plan by:
- Interact with Marketing and insights team and convert consumer winning concept into product ideas with clear key consumer drivers. Generate prototypes and check with consumer for improvement and finalize as per project brief.
- Collaborate with Procurement, supply chain and Finance function to meet the PnL requirement of the project.
- Follow Technical Stage Gate (TSG) Process and meet all requirements of TSG. Co-create Project Brief with all Stake Holders. Ensure the product meets Quality Assurance and Food Safety requirements, complies all Regulatory norms. Collaborate with Seasoning and Packaging team seasoning and package development. Conduct Shelf life study and ensure stability.
- Raw and Packaging material specification closure. Lead Material and Vendor qualification of new materials.
- Lead commercialization in own plants and Co-Man locations after Technology Transfer Docket finalization. Ensure the products meet design specification, process is center lined and efficiency numbers are met.
- Support TBM in Product Quality Superiority Initiatives by:
- Monitoring product quality from plant and market samples. Data analysis of analysis and consumer data and bring out key insights for quality improvement. Action planning and execution
- Co-ordinate with key stakeholders like, plant team, Central QC, Procurement and Engineering team for continual improvement.
- Prepare Reference samples and train line operatives on product design parameters and compliance.
- Identify productivity opportunities. Propose business plan and execute the productivity initiatives.
- Capability development of front line employees – particularly in co-man locations.
