Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for indexing and coding biological compounds in patents.
- Extract scientific information related to recombinant technology, genetic engineering, fermentation, and enzyme nomenclature from patents.
- Identify biological macromolecules, including proteins, receptors, antibodies, vaccines, hybrid plants, and their applications from patent literature.
- Analyse and code biological patent information accurately.
- Develop technical knowledge in Pharma, Biotechnology, Intellectual Property, and Data Analysis.
- Continuously upskill in content analysis and patent-related scientific information.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess any one of the following qualifications:
- M.Sc Biotechnology
- M.Sc Biochemistry
- M.Sc Microbiology
- M.Sc Molecular Biology
- B.Tech Biotechnology
- Pharmacology
Experience
- Freshers are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in Bio or Pharma-based content editing (excluding Research & Development) can also apply.
Skills Needed
- Ability to extract novel scientific information.
- Knowledge of biological compounds and scientific terminology.
- Interest in patent indexing and content analysis.
- Content editing and analytical skills.
- Patent analysis experience will be an added advantage.
- Content writing and scientific analysis skills.
- Elementary proficiency in foreign languages such as German, French, or Spanish is desirable.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn technical concepts.
