Junior Research Assistant Recruitment
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is inviting applications for Biotechnology Jobs under a Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CST-UP) sponsored research project titled:
“Bioprospecting fast decomposer and plant growth-promoting microorganisms to develop organic-rich bio-fortified compost cum biofertilizers for enhancing sustainable vegetable production.”
The Junior Research Assistantship (JRA) is offered for 2 years and 3 months and is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Job Details
- Position: Junior Research Assistant (JRA)
- Project Sponsor: Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh (CST-UP)
- Project Duration: 2 Years 3 Months
- Project Code: P-26/0161
- Fellowship:
₹25,000 per month (First & Second Year)
₹28,000 per month (Third Year)
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the research project involving plant growth-promoting microorganisms.
- Conduct research related to biofertilizers and bio-fortified compost.
- Assist in studies on plant-microbe interactions.
- Participate in sustainable agriculture and organic compost research.
- Support project activities as assigned under the CST-UP-sponsored project.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- MSc in Biotechnology
- MSc in Microbiology
- MSc in Life Sciences
- MSc in Agriculture
- MSc in Environmental Sciences
Applicants should have a first-class academic record in both graduation and post-graduation.
Experience Preferred
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Qualified UGC-NET
- Qualified CSIR-NET
- Qualified GATE
