Job Description
The selected candidate will contribute to a DBT-Wellcome Trust-funded research project focused on cellular homeostasis under stress and proteinopathies. The role involves performing core molecular biology experiments and cell-based assays at MIRM, Bengaluru. Responsibilities include cloning strategies, protein analysis, and cell culture experiments, along with advanced imaging and cell-sorting techniques. The candidate will also support laboratory organisation and routine maintenance. This position provides structured exposure to regenerative medicine research within a nationally funded biomedical project.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the DBT-Wellcome Trust-funded research project titled “Chaperoned control of cellular homeostasis in stress and proteinopathies.”
- Perform gel electrophoresis and Western blotting.
- Conduct Gibson cloning and restriction digestion experiments.
- Carry out mammalian cell culture work.
- Operate Confocal microscopy systems.
- Perform FACS analysis.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation.
- Support routine laboratory maintenance activities.
